Who We Are (err… Who I Am)

ΔPRIME ATHLETICS is a business I have started to make a career out of what I love: athletics and science. Nutritional biochemistry and kinesiology are the foundations by which I instruct dietary modifications and create exercise regimens to most efficiently affect metabolic adaptation. That’s where it all begins- at the cellular level. If I can get your cells to more effectively process energy, recruit muscle, and remove waste products, I can make you a better athlete, which, in general, is also better for your health. All of my practices are evidence-based, though it is a dream of mine to be on the cutting edge where I might one day be involved in novel approaches of athletic development.

I wasn’t always interest in athletics. I actually graduated high school as an Emergency Medical Technician where I learned my love for physiology and human biology. I progressed to EMT-I and then EMT-A but I didn’t love the lifestyle so I decided to pursue nursing at DSU, in St. George, Utah. By the time I finished nursing school prerequisites I had seen enough of the healthcare system and wanted to work more on preventing chronic disease than treating it; and that’s where I found exercise. I changed my major to exercise science and went full steam ahead. I discovered that exercise is only one side of the coin; the other side is what you do to prepare yourself for exercise which includes sleep, stress management, and nutrition. So now I’m working on a master’s degree in nutritional biochemistry. And what do you know, life happens, I met my beautiful wife, Jaryn, who is now a medical student, and we are expecting our first child in late spring.

This service is attempting to augment in-person training with virtual interfaces to allow you access to personalized programs and supervision at an affordable rate. I make local house visits if you want to train in the comfort of your own home, with your own equipment! Eventually, I hope to acquire a local gym where I can train athletes and other fitness enthusiasts looking to improve and maintain general health in person!

I dont train athletes exclusively, I also train those who want to help being healthy- which we will accomplish by training athletically. It’s not as scary as it sounds, we have a system. So don’t be timid, send me a message.

If you made it this far, thanks for reading!
